Based in Chicago, Custom Kaza was founded on a genuine passion for building, creativity, and thoughtful organization to enhance everyday living. We design and build fully bespoke cabinetry, furniture, and woodwork that are intentional, refined, and enduring—pieces created to support how you live and work every day.

The studio is led by David da Costa whose path bridges both design and craftsmanship. With over 15 years spent working within the interior design and luxury lighting industries, raised in a craftsman household in France, the studio draws lasting inspiration from European minimalism and intelligent use of space—where every element serves a purpose and nothing is excessive.

This foundation informs an approach that is design-led, detail-driven, and grounded in an intimate understanding of materials and execution.
